MARTHA'S opened to serve you on November 1, 1995. We are year round residents, on call ten hours a day, six days a week. Unlike us, our FAX and answering service never rest, never sleep. So we will be aware of your queries. One day of the week, we rest, responding only to the gravest of emergencies... like pulling your ox cart out of a ditch or checking on your property when there is a "blow" contrived by Mother Nature.

Our Goal: To care for your real estate as well as you would if you could.

What's in our name? In 1602, Bartholomew Gosnold, English explorer, named Martha's Vineyard after his daughter, wife or mother-in-law. Conceivably all three. But who knows? Those who know can't say. Those who say can't know.

We simply like the original ring of MARTHA'S. Oh yes, Gosnold also "logged" that the island was great with grape, a veritable vineyard.
