Blacksmith - West Tisbury

This is a classic on Great Tisbury Pond. At one time a blacksmith's shop. Then remodeled as a cold water-minimally equipped camp. Now? Now, a pond-front getaway with several amenities. Like hot water. Like a gas stove for heating and cooking. Like TV and cable. Like an outdoor shower (none inside) with both cold and hot running water. New beds: a double and three singles. One half bath.

There is nothing pretentious about this camp, but the furnishings are in good condition;the living is easy and simple. Sit inside or out and watch the horses gallop on the other side of the Town Cove. Bring your canoe or rent a boat and cross the pond to South Beach. This isn't for everyone who aspires to a Vineyard visit. But, there is charm here and it's hard to beat the location. What's more, the price is right.
